The 18th FAOBMB 2027 Organising Committee would like to warmly invite proposals for symposia from organisations across academia, government, non-profit sectors, and industry. Organisations wishing to host a symposium are required to select either a 60-minute or 90-minute session. Organisations are also strongly encouraged to assist in securing at least ONE (1) Exhibition Booth OR ONE (1) Technical Talk as part of their session, subject to approval by the Organising Committee.

| Original Content | Symposium must include original data or concepts presented by field experts to promote broad debate and synthesis. |
| Clear Objectives | Each submission should define clear objectives and articulate the benefits the audience will gain from attending the session. |
| Format (60 or 90 minutes/session) | Symposium consists of ONE (1) or TWO (2) 20-minute presentation(s) by invited Speaker(s), followed by Oral Presentations and a Forum session. Suggested formats include a maximum of 5 Oral Presentation with 1 Chairperson per symposium. Speakers may also serve as Chairperson for the session. |
| Diversity | Symposium proposals that include speakers and chairpersons from diverse backgrounds, including country of origin, gender, and different disciplinary backgrounds, are highly encouraged and will receive priority during the selection process. |
| Evaluation | Proposals will be evaluated based on content quality and credentials of proposed speakers. Submissions lacking speaker names and topics will not be considered. Please note that the Scientific Committee's decision regarding the accepted symposia is FINAL. |
| Submitter | The symposium proposal submitter MUST register with full payment on or before 30th November 2026 and attend the congress in person. He/She can be one of the session Chairs or Speakers. |
| Submission Deadline | The deadline for symposium proposal submissions is 31st May 2026. |
| Notification | Accepted symposia will be announced on 16th September 2026. |
| Abstract Submission | Speakers are required to submit their abstract through the online abstract submission system on or before 31st March 2027. |
| Registration | All accepted oral presenters, invited speakers and chairpersons must register for the Congress with full payment on or before 30th November 2026. The organising committee may consider to support ONE (1) or TWO (2) proposed invited Speaker(s) for complimentary registration, subject to approval by the Organising Committee.
