Mode of Presentations

Congress participants may choose their preferred method of presentation upon abstract submission. However, the final decision on mode of presentation lies with the Scientific Committee. All abstracts will be reviewed and assigned to an appropriate session. Authors of the accepted abstracts will be notified of the mode of presentations as follows:

Oral Presentation
  • Total 15 minutes will be allocated for Oral Presentation inclusive of 12 minutes presentation and 3 minutes Q&A.
  • Presenters MUST submit their presentation in MS Power Point format (.ppt or .pptx) with on screen show 16:9 (landscape) through your FAOBMB 2027 account dashboard by 20th July 2027 (Tuesday).
  • Presenters must present onsite during the congress.
Rapid Fire Oral
  • Total 8 minutes will be allocated for Rapid Fire Oral Presentation, inclusive of 6 minutes presentation and 2 minutes Q&A.
  • Presenters MUST submit their presentation in MS Power Point format (.ppt or .pptx) with on screen show 16:9 (landscape) through your FAOBMB 2027 account dashboard by 20th July 2027 (Tuesday).
  • Presenter must present onsite during the congress.
Poster Presentation
  • Presenters are required to submit a physical poster on the event day upon registration.
  • The poster size must be in A0: 84.1cm (w) x 118.9cm (h) (Portrait orientation).
  • The poster may include printed materials, tables, graphs, photographs, or illustrations.
  • All the materials should be of sufficient size so they can be easily read at a reasonable distance of 1 to 1.5 meters by the readers.
  • The physical poster will be displayed according to the slots given, kindly refer to the acceptance email for detailed information. Presenter must be present onsite during the congress.

Guidelines and Terms & Conditions for Abstract Submissions

  1. Abstract submitter MUST be the presenter during the congress.
  2. Each presenter can submit ONE (1) abstract only.
  3. Submissions shall be sent electronically via the congress website only. Abstracts submitted by fax, email or paper copy will NOT be considered.
  4. Abstracts MUST be submitted in English. All submissions must be carefully proofread for spelling and grammar, as they will be published exactly as submitted by the author. Presenters are advised to seek assistance to proofread the abstract if English is not their first language. Please use abbreviations with restraint.
  5. Text must be typewritten in ONE (1) paragraph, Times New Roman, with a maximum of 250 words. Refer to the Abstract format tab and Abstract sample for detailed format requirements.
  6. The abstract MUST not contain graphics or references.
  7. Once the abstract has been successfully reviewed, a confirmation email will be sent. Please ensure your email address is correct.
  8. Changes will NOT be entertained once the abstract has been submitted.
